Perth is home to numerous castles and palaces.
Ballhousie Castle the home of the Black Watch is open 7 days a week, all year round with no entry fee just a silver collection with military memorabilia in abundance. Huntintower Castle and Elcho Castle are within 10 minutes drive as is our wonderful Scone Palace, the family home of the Earl and Countess of Mansfield. Scone Palace and its grounds, is a full day visit, with treasured art and antique furniture in all its splendour for you to enjoy.
Glamis Castle where our late Queen mother was born is also within a 30 minute drive.
Also 30 minutes away is Athol Palace the only stately home to have its own private pipe band.
Perth has five golf courses and a total of over fifty courses within a fifty mile radius. St. Andrews the home of golf is a mere 50 minutes away. Gleneagles world renowned is 20 minutes from Aaron Guest House just to wet the golfers’ appetite.
The Perth leisure centre and the Dewars ice rink are only a five minute walk down the road.
Also why not relax and enjoy some of the best local produce in some of our wonderful eating establishments. The Roost Restaurant (only 10 minutes drive) offers fresh baking all day, mouth watering lunches and superb evening meals.
